With drones becoming more affordable, easier to fly, and more capable of shooting incredibly clear photos and videos, the pool of drones and drone “pilots” has consequently increased. What is commonly overlooked are the strict regulations the FAA has put in place, specifically Part 107.
The regulations of the FAA under Part 107 require the following, and more:

“Failure to register a UAS in accordance with these rules may result in regulatory and criminal sanctions. The FAA may assess civil penalties up to $32,666. Criminal penalties include fines of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment for up to three years.”
